FAQ
Does my audio leave my device?
No. All processing runs 100% in your browser via the Web Crypto API. Your files are never uploaded.
What if I forget my password?
There is no recovery. AES-256 with PBKDF2 is mathematically unbreakable. Store passwords in a password manager.
Why is MP3 blocked?
Lossy formats discard data on every save. Watermarks and fingerprints would be destroyed. Always start from a lossless source.
Is the watermark audible?
No. LSB watermarking modifies the least significant bit of audio samples — well below human hearing threshold.
Can this be used as legal proof?
The certificate, SHA-256, and blockchain receipt are strong technical evidence. For formal copyright, also register at copyright.gov.
